On October 11, the SCS boys cross country team, sent two runners to Irvine to compete in a race hosted by Tarbut V’torah Community Day School. This race was a 5K (3.11 mile) run made up of 87 participants from 9 different schools within the CIF Southern Section, San Jaoquin League. Matt Herrera, a junior at Southlands, was able to earn first place with a time of 16:56. Michael Ma, another junior at Southlands, also ran in the race and finished 38th with a time of 21:04. Great job Matt and Michael!
