Southland Happy Chinese New Year
Today marks one of the biggest celebrations and probably the most important traditional Chinese holidays?Chinese New Year. In Mandarin, the holiday is referred to as Chun Jie, “Spring Festival,” since it marks the first day of Spring on the Chinese calendar. Festivities begin today with activities such as setting off firecrackers, posting blessings for the new year on doorposts, lion and dragon dances, and of course, eating traditional Chinese dishes with the family. The holiday will last 15 days and culminate with a day known as the Lantern Festival. Southlands wants to wish all of our families a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year. ????,?????
