Recent graduate, Yuxin Zhang’s “Ancestor” (class of 2017) was selected as one of the Top Ten Winners for Blick Art’s Celebrating Art K-12 competition. Her award-winning work will be featured on the cover of the seasonal catalog. Another artwork, “Goodbye”, that won First Place in Digital Arts at the United States Congressional Art Competition (District #39) is currently touring the district offices in Brea and Rowland Heights during the 2017-2018 school year. So if ever you have the chance to pop by Congressman Ed Royce’s office, please do so to view one of Southlands’ very own. Make sure to call prior to stopping by to confirm its exact location.
