Southlands International Program

Start your application today

International students have the opportunity to complete a college-preparatory program that is designed to build academic English skills as well as college-readiness. With over 10 English Language (EL) teaching specialists on staff, Southlands’ English language development program is unmatched by other schools. Students are tested and placed accordingly, then progress through the language development courses, college preparatory courses, and also have access to Advanced Placement courses. In addition, there are multiple counselors and staff that work specifically with international students to help ensure they succeed.

Our bilingual staff includes counselors, pastors, an advancement coordinator, and an international department director. Services are conducted in English, Mandarin ChineseKorean, and Spanish. These staff members help provide students with guidance in coursework, as well as leadership opportunities and community service opportunities.

Summer & Winter Camp Programs

Southlands’ Summer and Winter Camps are a recreational way to make the most of student’s time off from school. The camp includes morning academics, afternoon games and activities, and weekly outings to educational and recreational places such as the Getty Museum and Disneyland. The camps are open for Preschool – 12th Grade.

Overseas Division

Southlands’ Overseas Division develops partnerships with schools located around the world to offer students a well-rounded education that combines both local curriculum and United States curriculum, providing a unique Dual Diploma educational experience. These programs equip students to be more versatile in today’s global market and aid them in preparing to enter universities in the United States and around the world. Homestay Program

We provide loving Christian families for the students to live with during their time here at Southlands Christian Schools. All families are prescreened through the Federal system (Live scan) and are required to provide a referral letter from their church pastor in order to join our homestay program. Most importantly, they understand that their job is to work as a team with the student’s parents. Because parents are separated from their children, we believe it is important to provide someone to keep their children accountable, including going to bed regularly and not playing video games or on social media all night. Host families create a family atmosphere where the students are well taken care of, loved, and supported during their time at Southlands Christian Schools.
