Southlands Elementary School is commited to educating our children and building a strong foundation as they progress in life. We believe in building a wholistic excperience for our students. To accomplish this, we provide many programs after school hours for students to participate in. From sport to arts and music, we believe we have provided a comprehensive collection of programs that will help to advance our students in whichever path they choose.
Student Life and After-School Programs
Sports Camps
As part of the overall development we seek for our students, sports camps are offered as after-school activities. We offer soccer, volleyball, football, baseball, basketball, golf, and dance, to name a few.
Spiritual Development
It’s in the name, but it’s our lifestyle as well. Southlands Christian School is dedicated to building excellent Christian character in our students. Bible classes are a part of a student's curriculum, but that’s just the surface of the spiritual development programs we offer. A weekly chapel presents teaching that is applicable in every-day students’ lives. Chapel Director and Chapel Assistant also are available to lead small groups of students who want to participate in a deeper community with fellow students. We believe that God wants to do remarkable work in the lives of our Southlands family, and we’re excited to be walking in that direction.
Annual Competitions
Excellence is in our DNA. It is part of our mission at Southlands. We have found that our students consistently perform well and exhibit this hunger for excellence academically. Southlands allows students to participate in a robust slate of annual competitions, including the Spelling Bee, Creative Writing Festival, and the Math Olympics.
