Southlands Spotlight: SCS Christmas Concerts
This year has been very interesting, to say the least, but some things will never change for our Southlands Family. You can almost call them non-negotiables because no matter the circumstances, we will try our best to always keep certain activities going. For this spotlight, we would love to highlight our Christmas concerts that are put on by our very own talented teachers.
As December approaches, the parents and guardians of our students begin to anxiously wait for our Christmas concerts, and rightfully so. These concerts bring our Southlands family to see our talented eagles worship God with praise. It’s a time where we get to reflect and remember the reason for the season. It sounds cliche, but it’s true. Seeing the passion behind our students as they perform reminds us of the beauty and power of God. As mentioned in the beginning, this year has been interesting so we have had to adapt to our current situation in order to continue with our Christmas concerts. We decided to create a virtual concert for our students this year, and although it’s not the same, we are thankful for the opportunity to see our eagles perform. We not only want to highlight our students, but we want to recognize our teachers who made these virtual concerts happen. We want to give a special thanks to Ms. Fomby, Mr. Hilton, and Mrs. Lorraine and her awesome Preschool team. We are thankful for their passion and dedication.
Southlands families, have a blessed and safe Christmas break! We will see you in 2021!
