The SCS 2012 Academic Pentathlon Team was recognized at a recent Awards Ceremony for placing first in its division. Students of different academic levels spent several months preparing for the Orange County Academic Pentathlon.
On the day of the competition, team members were tested in Literature, Essay Writing, History, Science, and Mathematics.
The day ended with an oral Super History Quiz in front of an audience of parents and competing teams. In addition to winning 1st place overall team and 1st place Super Quiz Team medals, students received medals in the following categories:
SCS wants to congratulate all the students that were part of the event, and say thank you to academic coaches Mrs. Jacobsen (Literature & Writing), Ms. Lai (Mathematics & Poetry), Mr. Williams (Science) and Mrs. DeVries (History).
