Meet Our Staff: Mrs. Fran Blackschleger a.ka. “Mrs. B”
Loving, caring, serving and a joy to be around! We are describing this month’s subject for our Meet Our Staff. Mrs. Fran B.
Southlands found her 23 years ago, but she didn’t start as an employee right away.
She was a parent first and slowly began to volunteer. That helping showed her love for people and our Southlands community, so we brought her on the team. She has served in the office, classroom, as a substitute, and as a teacher. Our teachers and staff love our students, which is why it is no surprise to see a student understanding a concept as Mrs. B’s favorite moment to have at work.
Her love for Southlands is seen in her words and actions! She loves hearing people say, “there’s something different” when they first step onto campus because it reminds her of how special our school really is. We have a community here that genuinely cares for each other, and people notice when stepping on campus. Mrs. B is known for having a hug and an encouraging word whenever you need it. This is not for students only. She’s serving to everyone on the team too. She is always ready to listen, talk and pray with you. Mrs. B really lives out what it means to be Southlands Strong. The scripture that is important to her is Galatians 6:9, which reads “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up”. We see her live out this verse through the way she treats, and we thank you for being you. On behalf of the Southlands Team, we are proud to present this month’s subject, Mrs. Fran B.
